SPRING BREAK 2010!!!

I'm so excited. Today was the last day of school until April 5th I believe. YEAH! I need a break soooo bad. And as far as I know we're not going anywhere this spring break so I can just sit back, relax, play some music, read, eat, sleep, do other things, and of course watch the rest of the star wars movies!! It's gonna be great.

I just had an idea for a song. Hopefully I can back it up with actual lyrics. [/random]

Hm. Looks like I'm out of things to write about. Check out Mike's blog and then enjoy the rest of your stay on the interwebz.

No Anakin! NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOO..

I've finally jumped into the star wars pool and I've watched episodes I, II, and I just now finished III. It was so SAD! It was so hard to even watch because there were so many conflicting emotions. I felt so horrible for Anakin because there was a battle going on inside him. He wanted to save Padme--that's one of the main reasons he joined the dark side--but he ended up killing her in the end. But another key reason he fell to the dark side was his hunger for power and he always felt somewhat excluded from the Jedi council, even though he was the newest member. He was also bitter because they hadn't yet promoted him to Master. Still I felt so bad for him. Is that bad? Hahaha. After I finished the movie my dad asked how I liked it and I said it was my least favorite of the three because it was just so hard to watch because I wanted Anakin to win because I liked him and I felt sorry for him, but I also wanted him to lose because, duhhh he's a SITH. My dad looked at me like I was crazy and said "I can't believe you just said that!" Ahahaha. Maybe I'm just a softy. I don't know. But now I'm looking forward to watching the next three that were made before the first three which I still don't get. But that's okay. I'm still waiting for the infamous line "Luke, I am your father" to appear. Heh heh heh.

Oh My Laaaand!

Um. Why aren't there more views on this? We need to spread awareness or SOMETHING.

A Graphic Comeback

A graphic comeback has taken place. I haven't made graphics in what seems like FOREVER. It's a shame! Probably because I haven't been visiting LOBH a whole lot. Sorry :(. I've been really busy, and in all honesty, I've been in a Switchfoot slump since maybe after my last show. That's a stinker. Maybe once summer comes back around I'll come back. I mean the Bro-Am's in the summer so I'd better!!

Anyway, here's the graphic. It's a The Rocket Summer wallpaper that Mike asked me to make. Thoughts?

I Often Wonder...

Maybe this only applies to me. But you know when you have friends--or rather "part-time friends" as I like to call them? That group of friends that's nice to you and talks to you [usually when they want something] but never really invites you to out-of-school activities or much less the lunch table? You know when you see them be nice to people and all buddy-buddy, and then talk about them behind their backs? I often wonder if they do the same to me...

Fun Times

As you can see, the new layout is up. Props to Nova for telling me how to do the thumbnail things, although I haven't done that part yet because I don't have my past headers on this laptop. So what do ya think of the new layout? I know the yellow is shocking but I don't think it's *too* overpowering. Do you?

I had a great birthday yesterday. Nice and simple. I went to see the movie "To Save a Life." It was GREAT. And I'm not just saying that because there was a switchfoot song in it. It was a really really really good movie. Go see it, or better yet wait for it to come out on netflix ;).

See ya later.

Coming Soon to a Desolate Blog Near You...

I'm going to be making a new layout very soon [probably tonight], so stay tuned. Also, I have a question concerning that. I need to know how to make clickable thumbnails for my past headers like my friends Sare and Nova have at the bottom of their blogs, and maybe some other friends too, but I haven't paid attention [sorry]. I think that maybe I can do that on photobucket, but I was wondering how other people did it if there's another way. I'll figure it out eventually, probably.

Okay, so I was about to complain that I have to do housework tomorrow on my birthday, but then I glanced at my post from yesterday and decided not to because there are people going through WAY worse things than having to do housework on their birthdays. I mean a 14 year old girl halfway around the world will wake up 15 tomorrow, just like me, but instead of getting to spend the day in birthday bliss will "service" 15-35 men. It's sickening to think of, but guess what. It's HAPPENING. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to turn this post into a sex trafficking awareness rant, but hey, it seems like no one knows about it, excluding my youth group and my boardie friends. But if more people did know about it, it wouldn't be happening, right? I don't know.

Ok, I'll be back with a new layout. See ya.

EDIT: [9:32 pm] ehheheheh. So I have the basic header done, but I realized that I hadn't installed all my dafont fonts on this laptop yet, and when I went to do this it said I needed an administrator's password to do so. Don't ya just LOVE parental controls? I can't even install FONTS without permission. And both my parents are asleep. Lovely. So I'm going with no new layout tonight. Man. I wanted a new layout. *throws 3 year old level tantrum* I guess I'll do it Sunday afternoon after church. Maybe. Ah poo. Ok bye again.

R.I.P. Chelsea King

I didn't even know her, but my heart breaks for her. No one should have to go like that. NO ONE. It just makes me so sick. She had everything going for her. She was beautiful. She was talented. She was loved. But one selfish man took all of that away from her. I can't even express how angry this makes me. This world is jacked up. Rapists deserve the death penalty.

Then again, so do I.

1 Serious 2 Not

We need to. Not pray for a new puppy or money or a boyfriend. We need to pray for this country. For this world. And always. Not just now. God wants us to communicate with Him. Whether things are going wrong or right. Things are not going right, currently. Haiti, Darfur, Chile, Chelsea King, and the list just gets bigger by the second. While you're at it, take a peek in the Word, if you will. My dad has this cool study Bible called the "Spirit Filled Life Bible" and I've started reading it. It has notes and vocabulary and stuff like that. It takes a good while to read just one chapter with all the extra stuff. Oh, by the way, I just started this quest into the Bible yesterday. I read the introduction to Genesis and then today I read the chapter with the aforementioned extra stuff. It's good. I like it. UM. God didn't have all those men write a huge Book for nothing. If He didn't want us to read it, He wouldn't have wasted all that time. So let's get to it.

Alright. So it's snowed for almost 8 hours now and the ground has exactly nothing on it. Because the temperature hung around 34 degrees. Not cool. But we did get out of school at 12:30 today. HEE HEE. But all I missed was chorus, which isn't a bad class at all. I like it. I wish this would've happened yesterday so that I could've missed science. But science isn't all that bad anymore either now that we're talking about chemistry and not physics. I think I'm gonna like chemistry next year because I like this pre-chemistry type stuff we're doing now. Oh, by the way we have to do a project/report on an element so if anyone has a really cool element in mind that they would suggest so that I don't have to research a boring one, that would be lovely.

Track's going pretty well so far. Although I'm not that great at running fast for short distances. I'm more of a longer and good but not dying pace. But that's okay. You have to work on your weaknesses, right? My legs hurt from yesterday. Hahahah. For cross country we don't do a whole lot of speedwork, but track is all speedwork. Yay for me. I'll get through it, though. We have our first meet in about 2 weeks. I hope it goes well. *grimace*

CLOSING REMARK: check out Nova's blog because she has a new layout and I think it's REALLY COOL. biya!
